Poetic Patience

what patience needs to tell me now, that I need to hear

Not everything can be so instantaneous.

There are lessons to be had in the waiting.

What do you notice there?

How do you react to the waiting?

Lately you have been frustrated and frozen in fear.

Patience is begging you to calm down after you pull a muscle in your back.

Patience is not going back to yoga the next day.

Patience is asking you to feel what is there in the pain of the muscle that is screaming please don’t do that again.

Patience is the waiting while the body heals

Patience is entering into something new and waiting long enough to see what it is without judging it.

Patience is hearing all of what someone has to say while really listening.

Not forming a rebuttal in your mind half way through their statement.

Patience is something you think you are good at, but perhaps we need to reconvene over a cup of coffee and chat.
