Grieving the Loss of Ideas

We often have ideas that seem really great in the idea form.

Ideas that we run with for projects, writing pieces, a book, a business, a relationship, a marriage, a new job, an event, etc.

We have ideas of what these things will be like, but the execution of an idea often falls short of our desires.

We want to write the perfect piece, run a successful business, have a fulfilling relationship, have a wonderful experience at an event…

But sometimes when ideas and reality meet, they are not what was desired.

That doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t follow through on ideas. Or we you shouldn’t keep trying.

Just that we have to also meet the reality of what is, re-evaluate and make necessary changes, and grieve the ideas that are lost.
