All Eyes on Alabama
Today is the special election for the open senate seat in Alabama. The republican candidate has been accused of sexual misconduct with underage women. He has been endorsed by the president, who has been accused himself of sexual misconduct and is famously recorded on tape saying “grab ’em by the pussy…” While claiming he respects women, he actively works to take away women’s choice and access to health care.
I am tired of a political party that tries to run on morals and values, yet does not live up to those morals and values while creating laws to impose them on others. I am tired of women being ignored and disregarded. I am tired of the things that people are willing look past because someone said one thing that they wanted to hear.
I don’t know what to expect, but I will be curious to see how it shakes out this evening. There are large implications of the impact either way.
